Biography

Calandra holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Wayne State University. She is a professional with a solid background in supporting the advocacy of cultural and philosophy of higher education and mental health. She has worked over 20 years in higher education at three universities: Wayne State University, University of West Florida, and University of Central Florida, respectfully. Her experience encompasses advising and counseling undergraduate and graduate students in higher education, as well as a diverse range of mental health clients. In addition, her credentials include volunteering at the VA Detroit Healthcare System prior to relocating to Florida, and provisional Mental Health licensure in two states: • State of Florida – Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCHI) and • State of Michigan – Limited License Professional Counselor (LLPC). In Calandra’s spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
