Biography

Kathryn Sunderman graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Psychology and Minor in Nonprofit Management. As an undergraduate at UCF, she served as a research assistant at the Applied Cognition and Aging Laboratory and at UCF RESTORES. Now, Kathryn, is a McKnight fellow and doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Program under the mentorship of Dr. Deborah Beidel. Her research focuses on understanding PTSD and other anxiety disorders amongst combat veterans and first responders. Specifically, she is interested in treatment efficacy and dissemination as well as the integration of technology into such processes. In her free time, Kathryn enjoys kayaking, traveling, trying new food, and playing with her dog.
