Biography

Phillip graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Psychology and minors in Computer Science and Sociology. As an undergraduate, he worked as a research assistant at UCF RESTORES. Following this, he was a postbaccalaureate research fellow at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research – West (WRAIR-West) located at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington State. During his time at WRAIR-West he worked on prevention and intervention projects focusing on mitigating operational stress and improving service member health and performance. Now, Phillip is a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program under the mentorship of Dr. Clint Bowers. His research focuses on integrating emerging technologies (AI, VR) into treatment and prevention with high-stress populations. In his free time, Phillip enjoys hiking, cooking, and playing video games.
